Nathan Wright
Co-founder & Treasurer
Nathan Wright (aka "Coach Nate") is co-founder of Priority Health Initiative and serves as Treasurer of the nonprofit. He is a Master Process Technician at Novo Nordisk, as well as a retired United States Air Force veteran. Nathan has an Associate of Science degree in Aerospace Technology, and he is a certified health coach through the Dr. Sears Wellness Institute.

Nathan trained and obtained his black belt in Seidokan karate while he was active duty military. In addition to his personal passion for the martial arts, he led Seidokan classes to train others. Nathan also trained fellow airmen on weight-lifting safety and techniques in several Air Force gyms. Physical fitness is one of his greatest passions, along with health and wellness practices aimed at promoting longevity.

Given loss of loved ones starting early in his life, Nathan is interested in decreasing factors that shorten the human lifespan. He has witnessed that beyond physical health, stressors in the areas of finances, social isolation, and cognitive decline contribute to poor health, especially later in life. These experiences led him to serve as Power of Attorney and one of several family care providers for his mother for many years. It also influenced him to begin ‘moonlighting’ as support staff at a small, counseling practice. He is interested in the financial stability of small businesses and is particularly drawn to causes that make services accessible to all, despite age or income level.

When Nathan is not at work or in the gym, he enjoys animals, motor cycles, tending to his salt water fish aquarium, hanging out in the hot tub, and traveling with his family.
